So the other day I woke up and I guess we had recieved a ton of rain because when I looked out our window at the park this i saw a huge lake!!! It was like Christmas! Bonneville park has been made into a water catch, and boy does it do a good job. So i decided to go play in it. it was early and my wife hadn't gotten out of bed yet, i ran in the bedroom, hunted for my swimming suit and water shoes, the whole time while yelling out of excitement "The park is a lake! Get the camera, I'm going in!!!" Well in a few minutes she got up and got the camera and here is what transpired.
Here I am in amazement of how much water is here. It was about 25 yards wide by fifty yards long, and i had no clue how deep, but i could tell, it was deep!
Here i am testing out the water, man it was cold. But just like the brave little toaster, I just keep going and going, oh wait that was the little engine that could, so i was more like the brave little engine that could.
I haven't dunked myself yet, i told tif to get the camera ready, what a good action shot!
P.S. It's cold water.
Next i thought i'd snag my pole and see if i couldn't catch us some breakfast. Fish breakfast burrito anyone? Needless to say the only thing i caught was a cold and pneumonia. But it sure was fun.
Well i still wasn't satisfied so i called tif's brother justin over and told him to bring his bike. I still couldn't believe that the neighborhood kids weren't out there with me, but no one came, i was all alone to enjoy this for as long as i wanted. Well justin got here and we took his bike off jumps into the water, it was a blast! This is me in the middle trying not to lose his bike to the great sea monster of bonneville park.
So here we are after a good long morning of messing around in big puddle/lake things at the park. We are cold, well maybe just me, justin seemed pretty content to stay there all day, but i was freezing and thought it best to go in.
